Dear Congregants and Friends of Sam Asher,
For the past 20 years, Sam Asher has served as the cantor at Temple Beth David and, as you may know, has decided that December will be his final month on the bimah at TBD. To honor Sam for his years of commitment to TBD, there will be a special kiddush luncheon on Saturday, December 17. Sam will offer some reflections during the Shabbat service, and those in attendance can share special memories and messages with Sam privately during the luncheon.
I hope you will consider joining us on this special occasion!
To give organizers an approximate head count for this event, please RSVP by December 10 to the Temple office at 266-3223, via email to office@tbdrochester.org, or by using the form below.
There is no charge to attend this special Shabbat service and luncheon, though it is an opportunity to honor Sam through a contribution to Temple Beth David. Sam is committed to education, and funds will help support educational programs at Temple– particularly those geared to children.
Please take this opportunity to celebrate Sam’s contributions to Temple over so many years. I look forward to joining you and many others on December 17.
L’shalom,
Andrew Berger (Member, Board of Trustees)
